Should I go to a dermatologist?

I%26#039;ve had, and still have acne. Right now, i%26#039;ve been doing acupunture, and majorly altered my diet. So, its getting better, doesn%26#039;t look to bad right now (knock on wood). So, i%26#039;ve done a lot of research, and have found out that some things that are said to be good for acne, are horrible. So, now i%26#039;m really hesitant about using any medicine, or chemicals. All i%26#039;ve been doing is natural things. So, today my mom suggested to go to a dermatologist. I%26#039;ve got mixed feelings. On one hand, thats good they could help me. But on the other hand, here are the downsides i think there are:

1) They%26#039;ll prescribe some chemicals or something which i%26#039;ve read many horrible reviews about

2) They%26#039;ll say my diet is rubbish, and it doesn%26#039;t affect it, but there obviously is a connection, they just say that cause dieting won%26#039;t make them any money

3) They mgiht prescribe accutor proactive or something, which may be good short term, but they do more bad than good in the long run, and i%26#039;ll break out again

so?|||It might be a good idea to see a dermatologist, but if you are not sure about what kinds of medications they will prescribe (Accutane is quite aggressive actually, I%26#039;ve seen it firsthand from people who use it) or if you want to try a more natural route, it might be a good idea to try a facewash with tea tree oil, which is antibacterial and is known to fight against acne.

I know it sounds stupid to be putting oil on your face when acne can be aggravated by having oily skin, but putting tea tree oil on your face at bedtime actually does work.

Proactive also might work if you use it regularly. Because acne can%26#039;t be cured, you can%26#039;t really find a short-term solution. You have to be rigid in your skin cleansing routine and you have to keep at it because the only way to see results is to keep up your routine (cleanse, tone, perhaps moisturize and then treat).|||ya go and they might prescribe something better for you|||It doesn%26#039;t hurt to go and see what the Dr. says. It doesn%26#039;t mean you have to do what he says or go back again if you don%26#039;t like what his treatment plan is. It will only cost you the initial fee to go.|||Please see a Dermatologist, there are medications that can do wonders for your skin conditions.|||you are lucky your mother will take you to da demo my mother says it is a waste of money and it will go away as i get older
