i%26#039;ve been having this pimples for quite a while now. but last 2008 till now, It really got worse. i%26#039;ve tried having a facial before(on a clinic in the mall). It really hurts pretty bad and it didn%26#039;t help a bit in clearing my pimples.
Now I already got a dermatologist but she suggested to have a facial again.

P.S Pro-Active Does Not Work!|||there are so many different kinds of facials that cater to a slew of skin problems, but one targeted for acne, and given by a derm, would usually involve extractions as well as maybe some masks, peels, serums, lotions, etc.. an extraction is when the derm basically pops your zits, but in a very sterile fashion that minimizes scarring, infection, and inflammation; usually they use a heated lancet (a super sharp, pointy object). it definitely hurts, but sometimes the results are worth it.
if you have really bad case of acne, like cystic acne, i would leave it up to the derm as they%26#039;ll have the best advice for you and use the highest concentration of treatments which would be most effective. stay away from cheap estheticians--their facials rarely make a big difference, at least in my experience.|||maybe you should ask your dermatologist on this one, not randoms on the internet.
