Can a dermatologist determine if u have a skin fungus by just looking at the area?

i have these two white patches on my face and she just looked at them and said %26quot;i dont see any active fungus on them%26quot; and she gave me some antifungul foam to put on the spots just incase it is fungus...but see im hoping it is just a fungus that gave me these pale spots because if it isnt a fungus then i guess that means i have Vitiligo......but it seems more likely that its fungus becuz im white, no one in my family has any problem like this, i got the white spot from when i went to tanning beds last winter and i got dandruff.......ive looked at tons of pictures of vitiligo and tinea versicolor and what i have definitly looks more like the fungus tinea versicolor...|||Yes and No, Lab tests really confirm stuff like that..

Go the the pharmacy and buy hebiclense its a surgical soap.

Clean the area daily with it. If your going to tanning bed%26#039;s there is a high chance you can get skin bacterial infections you need to make sure the bed is clean. Additionally if you were to go to the tanning bed and then go home and shave in the shower and cut yourself you could expose yourself to worse infections. I don%26#039;t recommend public tanning beds because of the bacteria that is in them. Even though they get cleaned, places are always missed and some don%26#039;t even mix the disinfectant properly so that it works right. Do a stand up tanning bed if anything
