Doctor/Dermatologist Input Please. (cyst/bump)?

I%26#039;m 18. I haven%26#039;t had sex, and i%26#039;ve noticed for several months now, this bump on the base of my penis near the genitals about the size of a bb. It%26#039;s very light contrast to my skin and feels pretty solid. No pain. No health insurance

so i%26#039;ve been researching and from what i read it sounds like a sebaceous cyst but i%26#039;m no doctor. What could it be? What are the treatments? Are they simple procedures? Can applying heat a few times a day really do something? Also i%26#039;ve had arousal/erection problems in these past months as well, in case that could be tied in with it.

Can anyone give me an estimation of how much it%26#039;d cost if i wanted to get it checked out at a dermatologist? Possibly, treat it? (No health insurance, CA) And how much difference would it be with health insurance?

Here are 2 links, you may have to copy/paste. I%26#039;d appreciate any input.

Thanks.|||I believe that you may have a condition called Hidradenitis Supprativa. It is a condition of re-occurring boils/ cysts/abscesses , that are often misdiagnosed as ingrown hairs, herpes, being unclean and folliculitis. This is a newly diagnosed skin condition , but there is a lot of info out there.

Here is a link :

If this sounds like it might be you, READ it, PRINT it out, and TAKE it to your DOC.

Its better to try to start treatment soon, it can spread over the body if left untreated. These boils can become quite large and painful. Sometimes even lasting for weeks or months , do not attempt to POP them they can then tunnel under your skin and spread all over the body. Most common areas are armpits, groin, binkni line, inner legs, and intimate places and basically anywhere that sweats and rub against clothing. Stress is a big inducer.

There is some support groups at MSN
