Dermatologist question.......?

So this is my first time to the dermatologist...I never had acne before this year, and even this year I would only have one or two. But the last two months for some reason I have broken out BAD so I decided to see a dermatologist. I%26#039;m nerves though, I just want my acne to be gone I don%26#039;t want a long process like ACCUTANE....I really don%26#039;t want to go on ACCUTANE

THANKS JUST CURIOUS|||first they put me on differin cream, nightly cream u wash in morning, that didn%26#039;t work so they combined with a light pill i don%26#039;t know the name of, this didn%26#039;t work so i used accutane. that was the best thing that ever happened to me, only side effect is that u have kinda dry skin while on the easy nightly pill, (solved with a moisturizer), but its easy and u don%26#039;t need to waste time with special cleansers and creams, i have been 100% acne free since i took it for 4 months last year. - if u are like me and nothing like proactiv or other commercial brands worked then i recommend accutane.|||i was put on retin-a micro and some antibiotics..i don%26#039;t break out any more but still have alot of scarring|||No Dr will start you on accutane, they%26#039;ll start you on some topical cream for a few months and if that doesn%26#039;t work then they%26#039;ll try something else, it%26#039;s a process. Accutane is the last resort medication, since there can be some serious side effects they only use it after everything else has failed. And Accutane isn%26#039;t that bad, I went through it, couple of pills a day and a little dry skin and that was all.|||Stay away from Acutane. Look up the side effects and you will see why I recommend that. When I was in my teens I saw a dermatologist for acne; mine was pretty bad. When I saw him on a monthly basis my acne was just about nonexistent. He would put me under UV light for a few minutes, look me over and then give me an injection of Tetracycline, I believe. He also had me taking Tetracycline pills daily. One of the side effects from taking the Tetracycline is that I hardly ever got sick. I wish you well, God bless.
