Should I go to a dermatologist or my regular doctor for help with pimples?

I have pimples on my forehead and chin that I really want to get rid of - whiteheads, blackheads, and sometimes bigger ones that are a little red. My cheeks are fine, but I want to even out my skin tone and clear my zits FAST! My friend went to her regular doctor who prescribed a cleanser (kind of like rubbing alcohol haha) and she has perfect skin now - it worked for her in about a week. I don%26#039;t really have acne, like it%26#039;s just a few pimples that I notice only because I am constantly looking at my skin. So what should I do??|||Dermatologists can help this quick!|||Dermatologist because they work strictly with skin where doctors are general and don%26#039;t specialize in just that area.but if it is not serious then go to the general doctor otherwise if it is really bad then the doctor is going to send you to the dermatologist anyway. you will have to set up an appointment either way|||Start with your regular doctor - he or she should be able to help you and it will probably quicker to get in.

Acne and pimples are pretty simple usually really, so you probably don%26#039;t need a specialist.|||Going to a dermatologist worked for me! It%26#039;s probably the fastest and most effective way of clearing your skin long-term, not just for a few weeks.
